The convicted murderer of a popular Mesa downtown merchant will likely die inside an Arizona state prison cell.
A judge in late September sentenced career criminal Lynell Brosier to 25 years on one count of second-degree murder and 21 years on one count of armed robbery to be served concurrently, according to court records. With 657 days credited for time served, Brosier, 67, has a projected release date of Dec. 3, 2047, when he is 90.
Brosier, a transient, pleaded guilty to fatally shooting 58-year-old Fabian De La Rosa two years ago inside Lamb’s Shoe Repair on MacDonald, south of Main Street. Four other counts were dismissed under the August plea agreement…
