Former New Orleans permitting director says city’s second-in-command should resign after inspector indictment

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The fallout from a bombshell, 25-count federal indictment of a businessman and former New Orleans third-party inspector continued Wednesday, as the former head of the city’s permitting division called for the resignation of the number two official in the city.

Gilbert Montaño serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of New Orleans, essentially the second-in-command under New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell.
