BRENTWOOD, N.H. — As a toddler, Elijah Goldman had a severe allergic reaction.

His parents administered an EpiPen, but when the reaction kept getting worse, they called 911.

Unfortunately, the EMTs arriving on the scene, like many local ambulance services, did not carry the medicines needed to slow the reaction and open up Elijah’s airways. Time was running out…
