NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB) – Two firefighters suffered minor injuries after rescuing a man from the Quinnipiac River.

New Haven Assistant Chief Dan Coughlin says the New Haven Fire Department responded to the area of 1 East Grand Avenue for a person who jumped off the Grand Avenue Bridge and into the Quinnipiac River.

He says the man floated about a quarter mile down the river before being rescued by Marine Unit 3…
