Human trafficking prevention event in Smyrna on Friday

SMYRNA – As National Human Trafficking Prevention Month nears its mid-point, Delawareans can do their part to help the cause.

The third annual Smyrna Red Sand Project community event is set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Smyrna Police Department, 325 W. Glenwood Ave. The event is free and open to the public.

The national Red Sand Project urges participants to “fill sidewalks around their neighborhoods and businesses with red sand to symbolize individuals affected by human trafficking that have fallen through the cracks,” according to a promotional flyer…
