The reappointment of Wilmington’s police and fire chiefs were among the department heads city Mayor John Carney selected or reappointed to leadership posts after being sworn into mayoral office.
Wilmington Police Chief Wilfredo Campos and city fire Chief John Looney were among the department heads reappointed to their posts by Carney.
“I am excited to be able to rely on an experienced and talented group of individuals to help me manage and improve city government,” Carney said in a news release about the appointments. “Some of the names of our team may sound familiar because they served the previous administration well and I am very pleased that they have agreed to stay on.”
