Wilmington Police have arrested two male juveniles in connection to an armed robbery.
Officials said on January 18, at approximately 12:12 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Townsend Place in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, responding officers obtained a description of the suspect vehicle.
A short time later, police observed the suspect vehicle in the area of Vandever Avenue and North Claymont Street. Police attempted to conduct a vehicle stop at that location, at which time the vehicle disregarded and fled the area. The vehicle was then located in the area of West 8th and North Jefferson Streets where two male subjects fled from the vehicle on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, police took a 16-year-old male juvenile and a 17-year-old male juvenile into custody without incident.
