Several witnesses at a Shell gas station in Newark, Delaware say a 38-year-old man was brutally run down and robbed by a man in a truck. The victim was walking away when the driver roared around a corner, struck the man with his truck, exited the vehicle to steal the victim’s wallet, and sped away.
Rebecca Hazeldine, a manager at the Dairy Queen across the street, saw the entire robbery from the store window. Hazeldine, like the police who reviewed the footage, immediately suspected foul play and premeditation.
“[The security footage] shows the guy getting hit, flying. There’s this sound. You can hear him being hit. It’s crazy,” she told FOX 29 . “I think the guy must’ve been waiting because he obviously knew [the victim] was there. As soon as he came out of the bathroom and got into the middle of the road, that’s when he came speeding around the corner.”…
