Six RWJBarnabas Health facilities were awarded A Hospital Safety Score ratings by the Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. The A-rated hospitals are Community Medical Center (CMC) in Toms River; Monmouth Medical Center (MMC) in Long Branch; Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus (MMCSC) in Lakewood; Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) Hamilton; RWJUH Rahway; and RWJUH Somerset.
RWJUH Somerset rose from a B to an A rating. Newark Beth Israel Medical Center lifted its score from a C to a B rating. Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) in Livingston and Jersey City Medical Center also received B ratings.
