STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 43-year-old mother fatally stabbed in a large melee outside her apartment complex entered the fray in an attempt to save her daughter, a law-enforcement source told the Advance/SILive.com.
Jennira Roundtree was mortally wounded Tuesday night outside the West Brighton Houses apartment complex at 820 Henderson Ave., according to police.
