STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — There will be no trash, recycling or compost collection on Thursday, Nov. 28, in observance of Thanksgiving, the city Department of Sanitation (DSNY) has announced.

Residents normally scheduled for trash or compost collection on Thursdays should put their materials at the curb on Thursday evening for collection starting Friday, Nov. 29. However, residents should expect collection delays, as is common after holidays.
