Progress made on I-471 bridge reopening as crews battle winter weather

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Significant progress has been made on the I-471 bridge that connects Cincinnati to Kentucky.

Crews are working diligently to reopen the southbound lanes by mid-March. Snow was cleared on Monday to allow crane operators and steel workers to begin installing new girders.

“Everything went to plan minus a small hiccup with the clamps on the crane that created about an hour delay,” said a spokesperson for the project. “Other than that, the first three girders were installed without a hitch.”…
