The Michigan State Police (MSP) have partnered with Kroger to distribute 200 Thanksgiving dinners across central and southeast Michigan. As reported by the Michigan State Police Newsroom, Governor Gretchen Whitmer praised the continued efforts by saying, “This Thanksgiving, I hope every Michigander gets to spend time with their loved ones, eat a great meal, and find their own way to give back.”
Each meal kit includes a full Thanksgiving dinner, featuring a turkey and traditional side dishes, designed to serve 4 to 6 people. Michigan State Police (MSP) have played a key role in identifying recipients for the meals through collaboration with local schools and community organizations. Families in cities like Lansing, Jackson, Monroe, and Brighton, among others, have benefitted from the initiative. Col. James F. Grady II, director of MSP, highlighted the event as a significant part of the department’s community outreach, offering thanks to Kroger for its continued partnership over the years.
