Richmond City Council: Eviction without representation now a crisis

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) -Richmond City Council declared evictions without legal representation a “public crisis” on Monday night.

The move pushes for more support for “right to counsel” programs, which aim to keep families in the area off the streets.

The topic attracted several community voices during the council meeting on Sept. 23 and took up the majority of the second half of the meeting.
