Connecticut Paid Leave Closing in on $1 Billion in Benefits for CT Workers

Connecticut’s paid leave program is closing in on a major milestone, projected to reach $1 billion in benefits paid to Connecticut workers since January 2022.

“This program connects workers with the resources they need to take some time off work when a difficult life situation happens to themselves or their family that requires extra attention,” said Governor Ned Lamont. “Thousands of Connecticut workers have been able to benefit from this program, enabling them to take care of their own health, a newborn, or a sick family member. Programs like Paid Leave are what make Connecticut one of the most family-friendly states in the country.”
