A few Wednesday showers before a late week cool down

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – Out ahead of a front, there are a few showers and storms with gusty winds, hail, heavy rainfall, and lightning. Showers will end as a cold front moves across the area tonight. However, more areas of fog are possible ahead of the front through Thursday morning. Lows into the night will reside in the 50s and 60s.

Thursday will clear out as the front finally pushes through, allowing for cooler highs—highs in the 60s with less humidity. There will be plenty of sunshine by Thursday afternoon, and clear skies will stick around through Friday. A new cold front will slide in by Friday evening to drop temperatures Saturday morning. Winter starts at 4:19 AM on Saturday, with lows in the 30s to kick off the morning. Cold highs throughout the weekend in the 50s and lows in the 30s ahead of the holiday.

The week of Christmas features increasing highs. However, a chance for a few showers will also join on the holiday as highs rise from the 50s into the 60s…
