Macon man arrested in connection to two separate murder cases, BSO says

MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — Bibb County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) announced the arrest of 42-year-old Roy Deon Thornton III in connection to two separate murder investigations.

According to the release, the US Marshall’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Taskforce arrested Thornton who was wanted in connection to a shooting at an Exxon Gas Station on Spring Street, that killed 40-year-old Tavarus Hunter on September 14, 2024.

In a separate release, BSO says after further investigation, Thornton was also arrested in connection to a dead body found on Emery Highway Lane. The body was discovered after BSO responded to reports of a stolen vehicle just three days after the gas station shooting on September 17, 2024…
