Pensacola is looking to get started on a major $7.8 million stormwater project aimed at improving flooding in more than 500 acres on the city’s westside.
The Pensacola City Council voted unanimously to approve bids for the project on Thursday with a contract award to Site & Utility LLC. A large portion of the funding for the project comes from the city ’s stormwater fee, which was raised by 50% earlier this year .
