Minot High on six game win streak

MANDAN – The Magicians have quietly, with tough wins and no loud proclamations become the sole unbeaten boys tennis team in the Western Dakota Association (WDA) season play. The trip to Mandan pitted the two left unbeaten teams for sole supremacy of the standings and Minot High edged the hosts 5-4 for the bragging rights of last conference team unbeaten.

Karter Hatzenbuhler from Mandan faced Grayson Schaeffer from Minot High at the number one singles and took the early 1-0 for the Braves with 6-3, 6-3 scoring. Aidan Diehl from Minot High faced Jared Christen from Mandan at the number two singles and tied things up 1-1 with the hard fought 7-5, 6-3 win for the Magicians.

Braves Ryan Bitz beat Magicians Nolan Moore 6-0, 6-1 at the number three singles while Minot High’s Notal Callahan beat Mandan’s Lucas DeRosier 6-1, 6-3 at the number four singles for the 2-2 record…
