MONROVIA, Indiana — An Indiana fire department made an important donation in support of their colleagues impacted by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina.
Members of the Gregg Township Fire Department in Morgan County voted earlier this month to donate their reserve fire engine to a department in Henderson County, North Carolina.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, the department loaded reserve Engine 122 onto a truck, which hauled it to the Gerton Fire Department. The Gregg Township firefighters worked with the fire marshals offices in Indiana and North Carolina, along with the Fireman’s Faith Ministry, to arrange the donation. Interstate Towing assisted with the delivery.
