Unless you arrived early for Butte High’s wrestling dual meet Tuesday night, you missed it.
The Bulldogs’ 78-6 victory over Missoula Hellgate began 20 minutes early and was over by 7:03, three minutes past what had been the scheduled start time. The Western AA Conference meet took place in old Butte High gym in front of a smaller than usual crowd and marked the end of Butte High wrestling’s home season.
Only five varsity bouts plus two exhibition matches were wrestled with Hellgate laboring through a low turnout this season…
