Sunshine and slight warming brings smiles to Montanans before a weekend cold snap

MONTANA – Temperatures in Montana rose to the 30s today, with cooler air in the Butte and Dillon areas peaking at around 25 degrees. Dry conditions from the day are expected to continue into the evening.

Winds are not a major concern for most areas tonight. However, Cut Bank and Livingston may see gusts between 30 and 40 mph.

Winter Weather Alerts have expired as high pressure moved into the state, clearing snow showers. There is a chance for brief snow showers in southeastern Montana overnight, but the rest of the week should remain dry.
