Semmes teen convicted in 15-year-old Alabama girl’s fatal fentanyl overdose

A Semmes teenager was convicted Wednesday by a Mobile County jury in connection with the 2022 fatal fentanyl overdose of a 15-year-old girl, prosecutors said.

Jackson Powell Lewis, 19, was found guilty of criminally negligent homicide and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute for the death of Adrianna Taylor. He had been facing a more serious charge of reckless manslaughter.

Adrianna, a student at Mary G. Montgomery High School in Semmes, was found unresponsive in her home Aug. 31., 2022 — just days shy of her 16th birthday…
