Atwater summit gathers minds to discuss future growth strategies

Partnerships, both public and private, are the key to economic development, and future growth and prosperity for communities like Atwater will depend on their ability to facilitate these partnerships despite often difficult regulatory, financial, and environmental obstructions.

This theme guided a large group discussion of related issues during Atwater’s first regional Economic Development Summit, held at the Atwater Community Center on Oct. 10. About 70 people from city and county government, business, and industry attended.
