MODESTO, Calif. — A Central Valley police department is trying to stop illegal products from getting into the hands of children.
The Modesto Police Department said illegal items, including tobacco products, in bright-colored packaging or designed to look like candy are being found in schools.
“We will not tolerate businesses that place profit over the safety and well-being of our children,” said Brandon Gillespie, the Chief of Modesto PD. “We will use every legal tool at our disposal, both civil and criminal, to shut down these operations.”…
