According to an email from the City of Rock Island, a boil order is immediately in effect for the areas of Bowers Addition (44th Street north of Blackhawk Road and that entire neighborhood) and Rock Island areas of Wildwood due to emergency water main repairs.
Residents in these areas are advised to boil all water used for drinking and cooking until further notice. This boil order will remain in effect once water service is restored.
