Three adults displaced after Charleston apartment fire

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Crews were dispatched to a Charleston apartment after an automatic fire alarm sounded early Tuesday morning.

Charleston, North Charleston, and Mount Pleasant Fire Departments were dispatched around 6:30 a.m. to the 300 block of Newbrook Drive, a three-story apartment building.

According to authorities, emergency personnel arrived 13 minutes after they were dispatched. The automatic fire alarm was active, and residents reported an odor of smoke.
