Allen Park has hosted its annual Christmas Parade every year since 2001, but this year, Parks and Recreation Director Rob Fulton said it’s going to be the biggest procession yet.

It’s so big this year because so many different groups in the community want to be involved, and each has each grown significantly since the parade’s inception.

“I think they’re finally getting to the point where they want to be more involved. COVID is over. Some of those kids were cheated from time that stood still, they weren’t able to do things,” Fulton said. “I think a lot of it is driven through the fact that people are excited about it … we’re excited about it, we want to show off our city.”
