MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Wednesday started off on a chilly note, but milder afternoons are expected as we head towards the tail end of the workweek! Temperatures dropped down near freezing statewide this morning, but we are in for a comfortably cool, dry day is ahead as afternoon readings warm into the mid to upper 50s; more dry weather is in the cards for Thursday and Friday with highs in the 50s and 60s plus lows in the 30s and 40s.
Our next system takes aim at the state Friday night into Saturday, bringing a quick shot of rain.
A rumble or two of thunder is also possible, but the air is expected to be too cool and stable for any risk of severe weather.
Rainfall amounts will be in the one-half to one inch range with the Friday night/Saturday system…
