Snow flurries possible in north Alabama tonight: Will it accumulate?

Alabama could see a range of weather tonight and into Wednesday morning. This forecast from the National Weather Service covers 6 p.m. CST Tuesday until 6 a.m. CST Wednesday. Areas in yellow could see scattered severe storms. Areas in red could see heavy rain, and the area in purple could see a mix of rain and, possibly, snow. No accumulations are expected, however. There’s a non-zero chance that some in north Alabama could see a snowflake or two overnight. Even a “very light dusting” isn’t out of the question in some spots.

The National Weather Service isn’t worried about accumulations in Alabama, and there are no winter weather advisories or hazards that are expected to be issued.
