The Veterans Group of Sun Lakes was founded last year with eight members. With 161 members, it’s still growing.
The group had a Sept. 11 Remembrance Ceremony at its meeting this month.
Tim Hanratty described the ceremonial small, round table that is present at each meeting, including a white tablecloth, an empty chair, a Bible, a black napkin with a Purple Heart medal on it, a single red rose, a yellow candle with a ribbon, slices of lemon and salt on the bread plate, and an inverted wine glass.
