Claysburg Church of God ramps up collection efforts for hurricane victims

CLAYSBURG, Pa. (WTAJ)– It’s the season of giving and the Claysburg Church of God is working to help those who need it most this holiday season.

The church is preparing to make their fourth trip down to eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina since the area was rocked by a category four hurricane in September. Last Thursday, volunteers from the church worked to organize their supplies before they head down on December 29.

“It’s mostly winter coats, shoes and boots because it does get cold down there and they are actually expected to get snow here in the next couple of days,” Organizer of the church’s collection efforts Jenna Weyandt said…
