Hart Square Foundation announced that Tonya Faulkner and Debra Zimmerman have been selected as its 2024 Volunteers of the Year.
Hart Square Foundation provides a wide slate of programming, including immersive events that allow people to step back in time at Hart Square Village, field trips, folkways classes, traditional music and dance series, and more. This would not be possible without the support of more than 500 volunteers who collectively gave more than 6,000 hours of their time to share the nation’s largest log cabin museum with 14,500 visitors this past year.
Rebecca Hart, executive director, says, “Our volunteers bring Hart Square Village to life. From assisting with historic preservation to sharing traditional arts, we could not do what we do without them. It is an honor to recognize Tonya Faulkner and Debra Zimmerman for their service to our organization, Tim Knobloch for excellence in historic preservation, and Faith Ingle for excellence in traditional arts.”…
