HIGH COUNTRY — The High Country Real Estate Market of Alleghany, Ashe, Avery and Watauga counties saw sales decrease 7.1% and inventory climb 8.4% this October compared to last year.
For October, there were 182 closed sales on single-family and condo/townhouse properties, for a combined closing total of $120.2 million. The four counties’ combined median sales price was $450,000, down 10.4% from the same time a year ago.
Inventory: Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, and Watauga counties had 696 active single-family and condo/townhouse listings during October, with 156 new listings coming onto the market. This is a 3.8 supply of inventory, up 16.8% compared to this same time a year ago…
