NC artist turns the wood that destroyed his home, business during Helene into art

NEWLAND, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY HOMETOWN ) — For decades, Jerry Stringham has been turning nature into art.

“Oh yeah, I’m a dust devil when I go home every night,” Stringham said, with sawdust covering his shirt.
