New North Carolina law continues allowing businesses to sell cocktails to-go

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Bret Oliverio is the owner of Sup Dogs in Greenville. He was happy to see North Carolina lawmakers pass Senate Bill 527.

“It’s a win for restaurants, if you’re able to order a cocktail with takeout food or for us more importantly you’re in, having a meal, having a drink, and you want to take a sealed cocktail home, maybe have one at home, have some additional food, that’s a kind of a good things for restaurants, and we’re excited it’s here to stay,” says Oliverio.
