North Carolina Weather: Light Rain Expected Tonight, Clearer Skies Monday Morning

RALEIGH, NC – Residents in the Triangle area can expect light rain to move in late tonight as temperatures remain mild. Highs today reached the mid-50s under partly sunny skies, but clouds will increase by the evening, bringing a slight chance of showers overnight.

According to the National Weather Service, rain may begin after 4 a.m. Monday, with new precipitation amounts expected to remain below one-tenth of an inch. Lows tonight will dip to 35°F before skies gradually clear by late Monday morning. Commuters may face damp roads early in the day, so allow extra travel time.

The week ahead looks promising with sunshine expected through Wednesday, including a high of 64°F midweek. Gusty west winds of up to 21 mph on Tuesday will bring cooler overnight lows of 32°F.
