HIGH POINT, NC – The Lenoir-Rhyne Track and Field Teams competed in the Vertklasse Invite at High Point this past weekend. Leading the way was Sharonda Priester, who set a new school record with a time of 54.50 in the 400m. That time also ranks her seventh in DII. Priester now sits in the DII top-ten for both the 400m and 400m hurdles.
Breaking the 12 second mark in the 100m dash was Zanetta Udo-Obong, who set a new personal best of 11.99 for a fourth-place finish. Just two spots behind her was Molly McGrath, who’s time of 12.01 set a new personal best. In addition to her 400m mark, Priester also finished well in the 200m, taking ninth with a new personal best time of 24.37.
Marking the highest finish on the men’s side was Marcus Crumpler in the 400m as he took sixth with a time of 47.89. The field events were led by a seventh place finish in the long jump from Kahlil West (22-10.00) and an eighth place mark in the hammer throw from Harrison Waddell (165-11.00)…
