The Arts Alliance will launch this semester as a new student organization dedicated to art appreciation, according to its creator, SGA President Charlie Long. The alliance is currently seeking board applications through Jan. 21.
Long was involved in the arts during high school and said he created the alliance because he feels there are few opportunities for students not pursuing a fine arts degree to get involved in the arts at WVU.
“I think that’s really important for any professional, that regardless of where they decide to go into a career, whether it’s the arts or something else, it’s important to tap into that left-brain, artsy side because I think that’s what makes us human,” Long said…
