On Saturday, 1999 Heisman finalist and four-time NFL Pro Bowl quarterback Michael Vick named former West Virginia linebacker/safety Terence Garvin as his defensive coordinator at FCS Norfolk State, an HBCU.
Vikc first took the job as head coach of Norfolk State back in December and recently started building his coaching staff. The former No. 1 overall pick grew up in Newport News, Virginia and attended Virginia Tech.
A native of Baltimore, Garvin began his career as a SPUR safety at WVU in 2009, before moving to linebacker ahead of his senior season in 2012. In his career with the Mountaineers, Garvin had 235 total tackles (134 solo), 23 tackles-for-loss, 10.5 sacks, seven passes defended, three forced fumbles and three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown…
