The source of foul-tasting and smelling water in multiple New Jersey towns was identified Monday.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) traced it to a leak that occurred on Dec. 16 at a repackaging facility in Branchburg and entered a tributary of the Raritan River, according to a statement from New Jersey American Water.
