CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – Crews are already working to restore power after heavy storms hit the region Tuesday afternoon.
Officials with Appalachian Power say they’ve already restored power to nearly 4,000 customers, but nearly 8,100 remain without power. They say that at the peak of outages, nearly 12,000 customers were without power, two-thirds of which were in West Virginia.
Appalachian Power officials say the heaviest hit counties they serve in West Virginia were Kanawha, Logan, Mingo, Ohio, Roane and Wayne counties…
