The folks at Resume.io selected 3,000 employees from across the country to participate in a carefully tailored survey to determine where the happiest employees in America live and work.

What Makes or Breaks a Workers Happiness?

There are a number of factors that can make or break an employees happiness. For example, the ability to work from home either on a full-time or hybrid basis, contributes greatly to employee satisfaction, according to the study.

Do American Workers Prefer to Work Remotely or In-Office?

Of those surveyed, 36% revealed that working remotely “greatly improves” their satisfaction with their job. Additionally, 35% prefer the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule with a mix of remote and in-office.

Hybrid work setups continue to be a top preference, indicating that employees value having the option to come into the office when needed, while also enjoying the flexibility of working remotely.

What Stresses Out American Workers?

When it comes to stress, 34% of the people studied expressed that high expectations and heavy workloads contribute the most to their stress levels. As for work-life-balance, 19% say it’s a struggle.
