After allegedly choking and threatening to kill his wife on New Year’s Day, a Midland man remains lodged on a $75,000 cash surety bond in the Midland County Jail.
Wesley Pacholka, 47, was arrested and charged with felonies of assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder, felonious assault, and misdemeanor domestic violence. Midland County District Court Magistrate Gerald Ladwig arraigned Pacholka and set bond. Pacholka has a probable cause hearing at 1 p.m. Jan. 14.
Midland Police Department Public Relations Officer Brennon Warren said Pacholka and his wife, 33, are divorcing. About 3 a.m. on Jan. 1, she arrived at their home in the 200 block of W. Hines Street.
