State Rep. Neyer says bird flu is at fault for egg prices, not cage-free law

LANSING, Mich. – State Rep. Jerry Neyer (R-92) said the new legislation on egg operations is not to blame for rising prices.

Neyer, who himself is a dairy farmer, says the spread of avian flu in cows and birds is the real driver of egg costs.
