BRIEF: Bellingham Police receive new infrared camera

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Bellingham Police Department (BPD) got an upgrade to some of their crime scene investigation equipment to see more than what meets the eye.

According to Bellingham Police spokesperson Megan Peters, a camera has been converted so that it can photograph infrared light. Peters says this will save police a lot of time as the investigators can do documentation while at the crime scene.

Previous to this, anything that needed to be tested for bodily fluids, gun residue or other materials would need to be sent offsite for testing…
