( KRON ) — A man connected to the fatal shooting of a 2-year-old in April was arrested in Alameda on Wednesday, the Alameda Police Department said. The victim was struck by a bullet in the parking lot of an IHOP in Federal Way, Wash.
APD took 31-year-old Jerome Lewis into custody, describing him as a suspect in the shooting. Lewis was living at a city-owned home for homeless people in Alameda.

The shooting happened on April 4 just before 10 a.m. The Federal Way Police Department responded to a shooting call in the IHOP parking lot and was informed minutes later that the young victim had arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound.
Lewis is the second suspect to be arrested in this case. A 17-year-old suspect was arrested on Oct. 2 and will be charged as an adult…
