CODE RED: Cold temperatures set stage for possible Friday snowfall in the mid-state

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Light drizzle and snow showers will continue through the overnight on Monday, which could cause re-freezing on roads.

We’ve been getting several reports of black ice already developing across Middle Tennessee, with a few road closures in the Upper Cumberland region.

Slick roads will be possible through Tuesday morning, especially on bridges/overpasses and secondary streets that may have ice/snow on them already.

Use extreme caution, as black ice is difficult to see until too late.
