MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Tennessee school districts found out today how well they are at increasing student achievement.
Tennessee’s school district accountability is based on six indicators. They include success rates for grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. The system also looks at the rates at which students are chronically out of school, performance on the English language proficiency assessment, and graduation rates.
For the 2023-24 school year, 10 school districts across the state earned the highest designation of exemplary. That means they scored at least 3.1 on a 4-point scale.
