Early morning violence in Temecula culminated in a 22-year-old resident being detained by deputies after he claimed responsibility for a fatal shooting inside a home on Josheroo Court. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is conducting a homicide investigation following the distressing incident. According to a statement from the Sheriff’s Department, authorities received an assault with a deadly weapon report at approximately 4:59 a.m. on Saturday, where Micah Harris, the house occupant, admitted to the 911 operator that he had shot a man dead within the walls of his residence.
Upon arrival, deputies secured the area, momentarily detaining Harris and discovering several other individuals at the location. A search of the residence led to the grim discovery of a deceased male, whose identity remains unrevealed to the public as officials work to notify his family.
